I spent the afternoon doing some things to the tractor to get ready for winter snowthrowing.

I found that the doors on my soft Curtis cab were hard to put on because the hinge pins were the same length, so I had to have both hinge barrels lined up to drop the door onto the pins. I cut 1/4 inch off each top pin, so now I can start the bottom barrel onto the bottom pin, then line the top one up and drop the door into place much more easily. :D

Also repaired and adjusted the front worklights on the top of the cab and the rear worklight under the ROP top. Brush and low limbs had bent them during the summer.

Next jobs will be cleaning and storing the mowing deck (still mulching leaves with it) and mounting the snowthrower.

That's a good idea, I did the same thing to mine years ago but did the top one because it drove me nuts trying to line them up.

I also need to modify the door latch since the striker plate is not adjustable and if the cab shifts at all the door will open since the latch is barely touching the plate.
