This is my first post on this thread, so I figured I would see what the cumulative knowledge base is here. I have a DongFeng Terraplane TD25 (25HP) 4WD 3cyl, any body out there up on the Y385T engine?? Got some questions on fuel injecters and other stuff. Thanks in advance.
Major malfunction was a small leak in fuel line, dripped the tank to death when the machine was idle for 3 months. Went through all the re-priming routines but found that the manual pump would not! I can turn the knob allright, but the plunger will not budge. No up or down or whichever way, just solid stuck in one position.
Engine will run when I inject (literally) 35cc's of fuel into the rubber air tubing going to the head. Engine will run about half a minute and quits.
I thought this might help in the re-priming process.
The little mud machine has less than 250 hrs on the clock and the local shop is telling me a new $1000.-- fuel injector pump. Well I found one that appears to be a direct duplicate for $125. Direct from the manufacturer on the mainland (Chinese that is). Had them expidite it and got it in 6 days. This is my first attempt at replacing one so any tips out there??
Anybody out there know anything on Chinese engines??
Also need some other parts for the machine, but am getting tired of finding all the same places on the net. Can I get a push to some site I have not tried yet?? Anybody got any secret suppliers?
