Quick Hitches Doesn't fit right

I bought a quick hitch from Harbor Freight yesterday. The problrm is, the top hook sets in so far that I can't get the top pin in. I had to remove the bottom bolt holding the hook which allowed the hook to roll out. It was also wider than expected. The rear blade (72") bearly fit into the bottom receivers and the box blade wasn't wide enough to work, I had to hook it up just to the 3 point. I've read of others that bought the HF QH and liked it. Am I doing something wrong?

I too had problem with it. I ended up returning it. If you search TBN, you'll find that its a "hit or miss" thing. Some did modifications and some just spread it with a jack and other grinded the hook, cut it and welded.... Some also order the "adapter". I still contemplatin' on getting the Pat's or others that I see online but I am taking my time, just want to get it right the next time. I'm sure others will chime in...

I have Kioti box blade and BX 42 that it won't on the HF quick hitch.

Often the attachments are not compatible with the quick hitch specs.

Not sure if your problem is that the HF specs are not standard, or if your attachments need modifying.

you're not doing anything wrong. not all implements are "quick hitch" compatible. there is a specification for quick hitch's and quick hitch compatible implements. also, seems hf might sell a couple quick hitches, one is wider than the other. i tried one, not all my implements fit it, so i sold it. someday i'll get another one and modify the implements that don't fit.

for now, it's pat's easy change.
