If it does how can I tell if it's maybe already factory set on DC,I have been told if I run a gassless unit then it should be connected to the DC cause it runs better on the DC side, which maybe mine is factory set already to run on DC I've no clue as I've misplaced the operating manual due to movin',I have some weldin' to do,and I'd like to get a clear picture in my mind how to make sure it's only runnin' in a DC mode>>>>>>thanks in advance>>>>Ampa :)

AFAIK all mig welders are DC. The polarity is switched depending on whether one is running MIG (gas shielded) wire or flux core wire.

Its DC..All MIGS are, but depending upon how yours are configured, it could be DC + or DC-.

Open the cover and look at the two 1/4" thick wires that are next to the trigger leads. Ther is a + by one and a - by the other. Follow one wire to your ground and the other hooks to the block that your feed rolls are mounted on. If you use Gassless Wire. The Ground should be hooked to Possitive or + on that unit. Opposite for Gas.
