Man. I have 500 hours on this XR4140 and it has been nothing but problems. Its always something with this thing and becoming a huge regret for me.

Ill tell you right now, if you buy an LS and your dealer is not helpful you are SOL.

If you call LS (seemingly 1 person?) they will tell you there is no tech dept and to go to your dealer.

Anyway rant off - YMMV and I hope your experience is better than mine.

Greasing the tractor and a bolt head literally pops off where the wheel connects LOL (really not funny)

Check the other 3 and 1 other is basically broke off just sitting there. 4 tiny little bs bolts holding this thing together. Unreal.

Thank goodness the bolt extractor worked for 1 and the other was pretty loose in the hole so I got it out.

Trying like **** to get this all lined back up and bolted back together. Does anyone have any idea what these are torqued to? Or at least and educated guess?

According to the manual (see attached) they are torqued to 69-80 ftlbs.

I broke my steering arm a while back. Filmed it.

What other things have gone wrong with your XR? And what has the dealer done for you?

Thanks I could not find it.

Off the top of my head, there more but I cant think straight right now.

Gas gauge broke
Clutch spring broke
Constant dying getting air somewhere (currently)
Constant dying before some update to computer (seemingly the update helped some)
Broken stabilizer arm
DPF failure since 50 hr to where it would show on the dash its regening but it wasn't which I guess led to it getting full of soot
Oil leak between tranny and motor
Leaking steer ram

Codes over the 500hr include:
F11 81
F11 94
F11 157
F18 1057

I have the kind of dealer that doesn't want to do anything but blame me for anything and everything. I had to go in there 3 times and almost fight to get them to update it, in which they didnt even have the machine to do so and had to wait to get it. They talked me into buying 2 fuel filters before that lol. When I got sick of dealing with them I called the main number and found out there is no tech dept to answer any questions.

I wont go on because everybody dealer and locale will be different. (I live in midwest hickville usa) Everything is junk now a days anyway it seems.

Good luck to you guys.

Gee, and to think I didn't buy an LS because of prior dealings with the dealer. My neighbor did buy an LS and thus far he seems to have had no issues. Luck of the draw?

I got the new bolts and got it all back together. Easy enough fix (LUCKILY with those broken bolts) but super frustrating. Thanks again.
