Just wondering.
We've had 3 power outages in the last 3 days, each lasting 1 to 3 hours. Not enough to fire up the generator or for the house to warm up much but still a pain. Previous years, like during Covid, they were very infrequent.
Got me wondering if there is a website that shows historical data like frequency and duration for power outages in the states.

Thanks johnnyvol.
But what I'm looking for is historical data like frequency and duration for power outages.
Like:
July 2017, 500 customers, 5 outages, 40 hours.

The DOE and the US Energy Information Agency track that.
Scroll down and look at the differences of the outage rates by ownership.
You need to look at their definition of a "major event" though.

More DOE information here;
This makes it clear that most of the outages are weather events.

All the best,

Peter

So......three days ago I got an email from our CoOp power company. There will be a short outage ( 10 am til 10:30 am ) today 3/8/2024. This will be the first outage since the one scheduled last fall. This is the way things should be.
