Buying Advice Does anybody know much about a Ford 4610 Series II

I am looking to purchase my first tractor and do not have much knowledge in this department. Anyhow, I have come across a clean Ford 4600 series II tractor for sale in my area and would like some advice. Does anybody know much about these tractors? The tractor has a front loader and has 52 HP. The tractor will be used for cutting 30 acres of pasture with a rotary mower. It has 2500 hours on it, but looks exceptionally clean! Can somebody also tell me what the series II means? Anyways, thanks all for your help, please only comments from people with knowledge of this tractor

You might consider moving your post to the New Holland Operating forum. Soundguy and RickB spend more time posting there. Is it diesel or gas. I think the Series II refers to model updates.

I'm pretty sure I have an owners manual that covers the 4610 II

Is there anything specific you are looking for?

What size / type mower were you planning on pulling?

the 4xxx line of machines are pretty stout. 46xx will put you 75+

I know at least on the 5000, the 5600 had a few hyd improvements.. etc.

RickB will be more familiar with these newer machines than I am.. though if you need something out of the manual, let me know and I'll dig thru the stack. I think I remember picking up that series manual a while back.

Never actually owned a 4610 myself but we've had them on the farm and i was always surprised how well they performed doing any thing a 5610 would do . Wonderfull little tractor.
