Do you transfer carbon dioxide between cylinders

I'm sure more than a few of you either make your own beer or use a paintball gun and if so you use carbon dioxide. My question is this is there an easy way to obtain materials needed to transfer liquid carbon dioxide between 2 tanks both having a CGA-320 type valve?

The local welding shops don't want to talk about liquid transfer probably because of liability issues.

I understand the procedure involved, have a good electronic scale, a 20 pound tank and a 2.5 pound tank. I have spent hours wasted on the Internet seeking a simple solution that didn't break the bank. Anyone here using such an apparatus that can lend a hand? CGA-320 X CGA-320 is what I seek.

To move liquid CO2 from one cylinder to another you have to start with a 'siphon' type CO2 tank as the supply and have a non-siphon tank as the destination (aka paintball tank).

The CO2 Doctor does not publish a phone number on their web-site but I did fire off an email explaining my needs.

I have 20 pound master w/siphon tanks and the 2.5 pound tank that I wish to fill. If the coupling or hose is available then I'm in business.

Inverting one or both tanks can get around the siphon/non siphon design issue.

Assuming that the CO2 tanks have regular pipe thread connections (or something that you could adapt to pipe thread), small hydraulic hoses and fittings are rated for at least 2500 psi and are cheap. Use teflon tape on the threads and don't exceed the maximum rating of the hoses/fittings.

Thanks for the heads up guys. The CO2 Doctor responded to my email and will custom make a high pressure hose for me with the correct ends.
