Do John Deere QA attachments fit others?

I heard that John Deere QA front end loader attachments were "proprietary". I don't think this is true, but I thought I'd ask before I go look at a used JD bucket. Is this true or will they fit other brands of loaders?

In other words, will a set of JD pallet forks fit my Kubota QA equipped front end loader?

JD does have a very light weight proprietary setup, we call it JDQA vs. the more standardized SSQA. Ask the seller to send you pictures of the rear of the bucket to be sure, and you can search the term "jdqa" for lots more reading.

If they where used on a JD SSL, then you will have no problem-they all use the standard bobtach type setup (SSQA). In your first post you mentioned a front end loader so I assumed a tractor-that could go either way.

OK, Thanks. One more thing: Does the light duty version look substantially different than the standard SS version? I have a good mental picture of what the typical skid steer version looks like. If the light duty is substantially different, I'll know soon as I go see it.

Don't mean to butt into your conversation: but yes the JD quick attach system looks very different from the skid steer system. You won't have any trouble telling them apart visually.
