A log jumped up and decided it wanted to be a part of the plastic bowl on the bottom of my DK40 radiator. Took it to a radiator repair shop and they told me they couldn't find a replacement bowl, and the hole was too big to JBweld. Has anybody had to repair/replace their radiator and/or know where I can get a replacement plastic radiator bowl? I am faced with a $750 new radiator from the dealer if I can't find a bowl, and of course I have a big tractor project coming up next week! These always happen at the most inopportune times! Thanks

No clue on a bowl. It's probably made somewhere in S. Korea or surrounding area. Even if you could find a manufacturer, it may take weeks to get it. If JB weld won't work, what about using fiberglass mesh with epoxy, fiberglass resin, or body puddy filler. Keep alternating layers, while still wet (not cured) until you can build it up thick enough.

Thanks for the thoughts Victor. The radiator repair shop is going to try something like fiberglass resin/epoxy/jbweld, but he wasn't sure it would work. If I get it back from the shop and it still doesn't work, I will try to do as you suggested. Hopefully he will have it ready for me tomorrow. Will let you know how I come out. Sure would be nice though, if I could just find a replacement bowl!
