My closest Kioti dealer is 45 miles away and does not return messages. My next closest Kioti dealer is 90 miles away, and the first time I called him, I said I wanted to ride out on my motorcycle with my GF, but it was getting late in the day. He told me to come on out anyway and stayed open 1 hour late so I could look at the tractors. Yesterday I drove out again, this time with my son (16 years old), and the dealer let the both of us demo the tractors in the field since we would both be using it. Needless to say, I have kept him on the short list of great dealers.

So my question after the winded opening is this... The quoted price for the DK35SE HST was $18,800, which included the "free" FEL L351. Price for the tractor, fel, and 3 new implements, 5' bush hog, 5' tiller and 5' box blade, canopy and delivery was $21,000. Does this sound fair?

I would look at the bobcat I got that model for 14200 with remotes!

Right now it really pays to shop around as there are some great incentives.

A year ago I heavily shopped around and bought a DK45SE HST with FEL and Canopy for $21500 delivered and at the time it was a good price. I have 120 hours on the tractor and really think its a great machine. I am sure that a subtsantially better price could be found nowadays.

On the downside the dealer I purchased from first dropped Kioti about 7 months or so after I bought and then they closed their local store.

I can't blame them for moving away from Kioti as they are mainly a Bobcat dealer. They went to selling the full Bobcat line and said they were still able and willing to do any warranty work my Kioti needed. Unfortunately with their local store closing the nearest location is now 200 miles away.

At this point with Bobcat selling rebadged Kioti's for less I am wondering whether a lot of Kioti dealers will find themselves in similar distress.

I am sure Kioti saw the Bobcat deal as a major win and it does tend to affirm the quality of the product when a worldclass company rebadges your tractor as their own. Just not sure they saw the potential risk to their existing channel.

The DK35SE comes standard with remotes.
Also some of the prices quotes in the other thread might be for old stock.
New stock machines will be higher priced, if what is quoted there is for old stock.
Anyone considerable distance from a distribution point (WA) is going to be hit with higher prices because of the shipping costs.
