Got a price from an area dealer for a new DK 35 with 8.5 backhoe and loader for $23k... is this a good price?

Here in NH tractors tend to be pricey and this one seems as though it's priced pretty sharp in comparison to other dealer($1500 more).

Also should I go to my local dealer and ask if he'd match price or just buy from the other dealer?

The local is 5 minutes away and the other is less than 1 hour.

Is anyone aware of any dealers within 1 hour of NH that don't mind working on a shorter margin to get volume?

thanks

Hi,

I gave my local dealer in Maine a chance to match and he refused. Then, he threatened me with slow service if I didn't buy from him. What's funny is in his sales pitch against Kubota, he ragged on that local dealer saying 'they' wouldn't deal and their prices were too high. Go figure?

Pick a dealer you like, has a good reputation, and can offer the best deal. I was so turned off by my local dealer that I bought out of state and am a proud owner of a DK45 tractor, loader, backhoe, trailer, grader, and tiller. Delivered to Maine from Illinois, purchased over the internet. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif My package deal $32,300 including shipping.

If I were you, i'd drop a line to Kioti in NC and let them know in exact words what your local dealer told you...that guy should not be a Kioti dealer (or any dealer for that matter)

Sounds like you made the right decision on dealers...anytime someone trashes the competition, that sends me walking every time.

This kind of treatment from the local dealer is what I was discussing on the CK20 thread. Kioti needs to have a dealer meeting and get all these people singing the same song. Especially when it comes to warrenty and service issues.
It should not matter where you purchase your tractor.

No names mentioned, but I bet he's North of Gray, ME. I visited him last year and still can't believe he's a dealer or anyone deals with him. I almost bought a Kioti DK45 from Ohio. One of a few factors was that I would have to deal with him on any possible issues. I ended up with a 48HP Century 3045 which I love. A 35hp Century should be at least a few thousand cheaper than the $23K price with Backhoe.
Good Luck.

The last post I made should have applied to Nelson. swnoel- Check with Keats in Keene on the Century. Century and Kioti are both excellent tractors, but if you can save a few thousand and deal with Keats who has an excellent reputation, it's worth looking into.

I have owned 3 Kioti's now. Presently a DK 35 is my tractor of choice. I bought the first one locally and have not dealt with the dealership since, I did not get along with them or the nasty attitude about life let alone service questions. I would rather drive a hundred miles and supprot someone that supports me and the product. Bummer is out of state but that is how it goes. I gave the locals the first chance and they lost all of my business.

I always agree in giving the local guy the last shot. When local equates to over $2000 difference in selling price (forget sales tax) and they won't budge - time to move on. Kioti's are great tractors, I understand they changed their policy of not requiring the non selling dealer to service, that helps, but there's still nothing saying he has to be nice about it.

My wife and i were turned off by him ,we ordered one over the internet. there is a great dealer in lebanon maine you will not find a better person to talk about tractors joe

Re: Other dealer in Maine

What is that other dealer in Maine? Is is a Kioti dealer you are talking about. I would surely like to know of ANY ONE else besides the one I talked to. I can't seem to find any others on the internet searches including the one on this site.

Any info would be appreciated.
