Was just on the phone with a localish Kioti dealer. I like the ck3510/4010 hst but am a little cramped (6'5, 300#) and want split brakes.

The dealer tells me there's going to be HST added to the DK10 line sometime this or early next year.

Anyone have info?

I dont have any info, but This is a fantastic idea tho. My property didnt allow me to fit a dk10 series many places. But if it came with an HST I would have thought about it harder. HST are just down right nice. Especially if in tight quarters. I have drove my fathers kubota mx5200 and its HST and it really is great. I dont get how split brakes would work on an HST unless there is a cruise control option. It is good to hear kioti is consistently adding options to their line.

Thanks for the input! Just cements my belief that I want HST. As far as split brakes/HST functionality, the only arrangement I would consider is dual HST pedals on right and split brake pedals on left.

I have a DK40se hst with that arrangement. I much prefer the split hst pedals but honestly I have never had a use for split brakes.

ive used split brakes once in my life while i was working at a horse event arena and had to drag the arenas for the show. We had 5 arenas to maintain and it was lots of tractor time. I did use the split brakes for awhile but then switched to using the foot throttle around turns and it worked equally as well. Split brakes can be a good thing but are very job specific. Most chores around a house or small farm really dont ever need the use of split brakes. With hydrostatic heck you barely need brakes as removing your foot off the pedal slows it down enough for most applications.

Aside from a few outliers, most on here have said the same in terms of the split brakes. As soon as I realized the dk4510 has loader mounted joystick I was no longer excited. In all honesty it's too much tractor for what I need anyway.

On a side note, I thought I found everything I want in the LS XR3135HST. Hydro, splits, 400# more lift, 500# more weight, same backhoe, same money... Then I noticed the loader frame. Cuts the ground clearance to 7.5".

I like the 13"+ on the Ck10 Series Kioti. Although I wonder what the backhoe tabs/frame do to the ground clearance on the Ck10 Series? Haven't seen one in person.

I read this and thought about this video but after I looked it up I realized it was the older CK not a CK10 series but it still might give you and idea.

On my CK20, the Kioti KB2365 subframe tabs dropped down a few inches but were very tough and not a concern if they did hit bottom. I don't recall ever hitting them. Likewise there is part of the subframe that spans the area under the PTO. That's also tough and I don't recall hitting that either.

I now have a Woods BH90x on my DK40SE and it uses a four point subframe that barely affects clearance at all and only by an inch or so aft of the PTO IIRC.

(The Kioti subframe was clunkier but much easier to get on and off. It does add substantially ?5ft to the storage length of the BH when off the tractor though. The Woods has only about a foot extra length behind the seat. )
