I have never run my tank dry and have no intention to do so. I have determined the location on the fuel gauge where it will take a full 5 gallon jerry can of fuel and thats when I refuel it, or at the end of the day.
It has needed 6 or 6.5 when the gauge reads nearly empty and the alleged capacity is in the mid 7 range so I feel pretty good that the gauge is reading properly. I sure wish I had your 15 gallon tank. I can't make it through the day without refueling.
I think that there are just not as many 45 owners and even less that are willing to run the tanks dry.

Highbeam said:Wow. Well you know what they say about silly questions..... The only way anybody can possible know the answer to your question is to either run their tank dry or to fill the tank, remove the line, and drain it into measured receptabcle. You didn't stump anyone.
I have also verified errors in Kioti's published capacities. For example, the front axle fluid capacity.
MrJimi said:4sarge, give me the dimensions of your tank, length, width and height and if you have any serious bumps/dents in it and I will give you tank capacity,, and, yes, I know your tank is not a nice rectangle but it will be close depending on the measurements you give me
