I have narrowed a loader problem down to the joystick and have sourced the part out of baileynet. I have an engineering background but have never messed with hydraulics. Any advice before i start the job. Do you coat the fittings with loctite or any sealer?
Thanks

Are you changing the control valve or just working on the joystick? If it the control valve, all fittings are O-ring sealed - no thread sealer used, needed, or recommended.
If working on the joystick, the only problem I have encountered was joystick came loose and floppy. There is 1 assmebly bolt in it that holds the stick down on the pivot balls, have seen a couple of these come loose but very easily retightened. Put a drop of low torque loctite on it so it doesn't loosen again.
