Mot really impressed with either one.... IF you intend to do a lot of hoses get professional model crimper, if you are only doing one-off hoses once in a while, just go to town and have it dome professionally....

How many tractors do you have? How often do your hoses fail? Do you have a ready source for hose and fittings? These are questions to ask yourself before buying a rarely used tool of dubious value. I go along with DL's suggestion as I think I've only replaced three or four hoses in the last fifteen years.

Yeah I'm not really impressed by them.
If I had a few feet of hose and some common fittings then it would be easy for me to repair and then keep working.
I have a kubota L4310 and a few acres and do hay. But I also have other equipment that has hydraulics. The other equipment uses different fittings that would not work with the EZ Crimper but most likely would work with the bottle jack crimper.

It's more a time saver for me than trying to save a few bucks. And for all I know someone here may have tried one of these tools or perhaps has used other crimpers that are priced low enough for the DIYer.

I know a few excavation contractors.
What many do is have a couple of spare standby hoses, usually in the longest length of the particular size.
Small investment compared to down time losses considering many machines are billed out over $100/hr.

Even I with but a CUT have enough on hand to make a 'back to service repair' as I needed to do midst a winter storm.
