DIY Bucket Forks

Built these forks for my ingersoll 6018 this past weekend, 2x3 1/4" steel tube for the forks and a 1" chromoly rod through the bucket to hold in place. Pretty simple but they work great!

Those are real nice. I have a pair out of 3 inch channel that I bend all the time. The tube is the way to go!

Sweet! I looked hard at the ingersoll backhoe before getting a Jd 1026r. How much do they weigh? I've got forklift forks on mine and they are about 200lbs for just the forks

The 6018 loader backhoes are nice wish mine came from the factory with one.... maybe someday i'll run across one. Anyways not sure on the weight I'd guesstimate 40lbs a piece so 80 lbs total

Do your forks just tilt into the bucket under the top lip?

Is the angle at the bucket end of the forks cut to allow the tilt of the fork?

Do the forks have much swing (side to side) at the end of the forks?

Can you exert any side pressure on the end of the forks?

Sorry kinda hard to see in the pics but a round bushing is welded to the angle iron and a one inch rod runs through the bucket to support the top end of the forks. They stay in place very well but can be adjusted with a little shimming around and some taps with a hammer. Side pressure is no problem
