Well it's only the end of June, but I need to get started on getting my NX6010 ready for the snowplow if I want to have it ready by winter. I plan to put together a third function for the plow's power angle, but while I've been reading up on TBN and messaged with countrybumpkin for a bit, I still know too little about what I'm doing. I know I need (besides hoses and connetors) a solenoid valve and subplate, I plan to use a DO3. When shopping for these 2 components, any tips on what to look for or will any old D03 subplate do the job? Any other necessary components I need to buy?
Then the next thing to figure out is where to mount the components and how to plumb them in. Any pictures from someone who has done this on an NX would be great. I plan to use the John Deere 2 button loader handle.

I would seriously reconsider your thinking on this. With what you have choosen, my guess is that your hydraulic pump will burn up in short order. Your putting on a system rated at 7GPM and your pump is around 12GPM. (website is not clear about implement pump output, only combined of 17.9 GPM)

A diverter system is easier to do and you don't have to worry about getting the right subplate and the constant flow problems. Is there any real good reason that you would need to be able to actually do 3 separate functions at any one time? Think about it. :scratchchin:

Good luck

I'm pretty sure I had read of others using a do3 on the NX tractors, but I could be wrong. countrybumpkin did use a do5.

I'm not set on a diverter vs 3rd function, but seems like it could be handy with certain attachments. However for what I have now (the snow plow) I certainly don't need to have 3 simultaneous functions. My thinking was to do the 3rd function in case I'd need it in the future. If I went with a diverter instead, what kind of valve do I need? And I'm assuming I'd only need a single button control?

There are a lot of people that do a lot of things that they really shouldn't. Sometimes even recommended when they really should not be. Do people get away with this stuff, sometimes, a lot depends on what and how they use their equipment. Me, I would not use a subplate intended to be used with a low GPM system that had the GPM that your tractor has. But then, maybe that's just me.

As far as a diverter valve, several to choose from.

I happen to have this in stock presently and would sell it for $112 shipped to you.

Yes with a diverter, a single button control is all that you would need.

FWIW, I did a diverter from Brian on my Kioti DK-40. I run numerous implements, including all angle snowplow, front mounted log grapple, front mounted sickle-bar. This works perfectly for my uses, no guessing, flow concerns, etc. BTW, I also have Brian's T-N-T to control my box blade. Everything can and does work as intended, with no need ever to run 3 things at once. After all, it's a tractor, not a fighter jet!, (though I do have a joystick handle for my one button control for the front hydraulics).

You won't be sorry going with someone who does these things professionally, and has great service to boot. JMHO.

So have you decided on what your going to do for the front hydraulics?

Yes, I got a diverter from Brian and grip from John Deere. Found a place to mount the valve between the loader mast and hood (It was a squeeze, not much space there!). I just need to measure for hoses, when I get some spare time.

Nothing wrong with that, sounds like you should have a good setup.
