I had a Dixie chopper silver eagle catch on fire nearly a year ago. Im finally nearly finished putting it back together. It keeps throwing the deck drive belt. I'm using the original motor with the original clutch and the original deck with all of the mounting unchanged. I thought maybe the tensioner spring was damaged in the fire so I changed it to no avail. I'm not using a OEM belt, but it's the same size napa belt that was previously ran for 900 hours ( not the same one. I've gone through probably 5. ) I'm really at a loss as to why it won't work.
