A local used lot is selling a Ditch Witch R65 with the V4 Wisconsin gas motor in it, asking 1200$. He claims it runs, none of the oil has water in it, I'm jumping the battery today to make it turns and has compression at least. It has the chain trencher on back and the backhoe on front with a 4 way blade, two tires need replacing. I need to dig about 2800' of trench and a some backhoe work. Even if I have dump some money and time into I think it would be worth it. Anyone have any experience with this model? Anything to look out for beyond the fact that its a 50 year old machine?
