Purchased a new 4540 Mahindra tractor with front end loader and backhoe this spring. The hoe had multiple issues. I kept breaking teeth on the 16" bucket digging tree stumps. Mahindra told me the backhoe wasn't designed to dig tree stumps. However, they gave me bigger teeth and solved my issue.
Next I broke the subframe. This time they told me I abused my equipment by not torquing the bolts and didn't grease the backhoe. I informed them I was a mechanic for decades and that I followed the manual for torquing the bolts at 50 hours and I greased the thing every 8 hours. Just like the Manuel said. They informed me they found one or two bolts lose and that I should have greased about every 4 hours. Long story short, I was stuck with just With about a $700.00 bill. Beware buying Mahindra backhoes. I recently tried to buy a boom cylinder rebuild kit. I was told they didn't sell those. But I could try and find someone who could possibly rebuild the cylinder on my own.
