Power Trac PT1430 Year made 2016
Did anyone notice on the PT website under PRICES that they have on the price sheet WHILE SUPPLIES LAST beside these machines. I am not sure if this means they are going to stop making them?

that's usually what it means, and getting replacement parts would be a problem after a while, since they won't be making the unit anymore..

With power trac, I suspect that means before a modest price increase or configuration change.

With Engineering drawings on file and nowadays CAD, I would guess a "good" manufacturer could always make a particular part if demand warranted it.

Maybe. But at what cost would the demand be met? Also few manufacturers produce all their own components.

But power trac has used this language leading to price /config changes before. And most of their components can be sourced elsewhere if it comes to it.

Curious if a small company would ever release a drawing for you to get the part made, if it wasn't financially viable for them.

What parts are you referring to that you'd need drawings to make parts from?

Pretty much everything is plate steel. There are few, if any, machined parts on my machine that I can think of. The engines are made by other vendors. The pumps, hydraulic motors, hoses, fittings, etc... are made by other vendors. I think they make their own hydraulic cylinders. The brake tender on the larger units are made by them as I recall. But really, I think as long as they're in business, they can support legacy machines. I can't recall anyone on here with old machines reporting PT won't support them. The might have to adapt something newer to an older machine, but it can be done. Only limit is your wallet, I suspect.

With that said, does anyone own one of those models? How many do they sell each year? Is it worth it for them to keep making them if they don't sell? I'd guess they'd keep supporting them for as long as they're in business if they do discontinue them. The components are the same as other units. The chassis is probably the only difference.

They've supported me on a machine they can't even fully identify...

But I think the wording change is more to do with an uncertain trade environment.

There are a handful of 2430s in the owners list by state. I see no 2460s in the list.
