I bought some 16" disc hillers from Agri Supply (2@$30 each). My friend who gave me a soil ripper from his old JD M made some clamps to mount the disc hillers onto the 2x2 solid bar used by the chisel plows for the soil ripper. Attached is a picture of the disc hillers. In addition to the 2 4x4s, I also had a couple rocks to help lower the discs for each pass. I did each row twice and ended up with 20 rows instead of the 14 that I made about 4 years ago with my Gravely rotary plow. This is because the between-row space is much smaller now.

Here's a picture of the rows. About half way across the garden, the rows started getting a bit more wavy. The Gravely rotary plow was also difficult to keep in a completely straight row.

Looks like you have a great tool there. A friend of mine in Leavenworth, WA makes some very impressive hills for his organic vegetable farm. I'm not sure what he uses, but have been on his farm and it looks much like what you are working on.

Thanks for posting the pictures.
