Kubota B7500
Had this Kubota B7500 for a short time, and wanted to check tranny fluid. What could be simpler, right?
Strangely enough, the dipstick will not pull out.
Thought that maybe it threads into something, so rotated both directions many revs, no help. Rotates by hand with minor amount of friction.
When yanking on it barehanded, I can feel it move back and forth lengthwise by a tiny amount, maybe 1/32"
Wrapped the yellow plastic knob with rags, pulled with channellocks about 40 pounds worth, nothing, afraid any more force will break off the knob.
Tried with tractor cold and not running, running with speed range in L, and in H, both with clutch pedal out and in, etc, etc, etc.
Do I need to turn the tractor upside down and face eastward at midnight to pull the dipstick out?

Westward is the correct orientation!

Parts drawing shows two o-rings in there.

friend of mine told me to try to get some fluid in under the cap to loosen the o-rings, as they may harden and lock up.
Managed to get a little bit under there,
and it worked !

Put some lipstick on your dipstick and then pull it out slowly. Is it threaded ?

I bought an iSEKI tractor 4 years old with the same problem, I don't think the oil had ever been checked, had a heck of a time getting the dipstick out. The rubber seal on the dipstick had stuck to the bore in the block, same deal as what was said re the o rings. Ended up putting a pair of vicegrips on the dipstick and giving it a good pull while twisting, it eventually came out but not easliy. Every time I check the oil now I coat the rubber sleeve with oil and I can get it out quite a bit easier.
On the same story/machine, the oil had never been changed nor checked I presume, still had the stock filter that was almost as hard to remove as the dipstick. The oil was barely touching the dipstick, least it had low hours at 130 but still. People should be drawn and quartered to do that to a piece of machinery. Sorry for the hijack and rant.............Mike

I had that problem with my old B2910. I just used a large screwdriver blade slipped under the edge and gently pried up. It's a friction fit, but fairly tight.
