Difference between the BX2750C and D (front blowers)

I found a used BX2750C blower for my BX2350 tractor. I know the latest model for the blower is the D.

Can anyone tell me the differences between the two blower models?

I don't know why my link above came out with that title. It's a PDF file, looks like it is a copy of a page from an owners manual. Anyway, it says the only difference is the D started coming with more factory assembled parts to shorten initial set up time...

Anyone know when they dropped the shear plate and also if a shear plate model can be converted to the later design?
