The 15 series has a simpler engine. Both are good, but the TYM engine doesn't go into limp mode if you have a different issue.

15 is a little wider, a little heavier. It has a bit more lift capacity on loader and 3pt hitch. About 2 inches more ground clearance.

The 394 has about 30% bigger fuel tank.

A big difference may be comfort. Sit in them both and see what feels better for you. Both will do the work.

The biggest difference for me (other than the SPECS) was knowing that TYM is no longer manufacturing Branson tractors, only their TYM line of compact tractors. I went to buy a Branson 4520R or the TYM T474H at my nearest dealer in Ocala, FL who had both models on the lot at the time (DEC-2023) .

I left with a TYM 474H based on the dealership salesman's recommendation, price difference and my gut instinct and reasoning about obtaining future replacement parts and/or maintenance for the Branson line 'may be' harder to obtain than for the TYM.

I haven't regretted my decision at all. Approx. 48 HRS on the -474 and not a single hiccup. Great upgrade from my ex-NH TC30HST. Your mileage may vary...

I'm pretty sure that is just a rumor. TYM is still making the 15 and 20 series tractors. They discontinued one HP configuration. (For those unaware, the 2515, 3015, 3515, 4218 and 4815 are the same except engine/engine tuning. My understanding is they discontinued the 4215. I would expect maybe they would delete the 3015, too. Not enough difference to make a separate model.

I got a T574 vs the 5520 because it has some convenient features standard that weren't on the 20 series.

My guess is that when/if TYM phases out those tractors, they will blend the features of them. The 474, 4815, 4820, and 494 all use the same engine. The 5520 and 574 use the turbo version of that engine.

Does anyone know what will become of Bad Dog 4035 tractors since TYM owns Branson/Bad Dog ?

I will say, the 3515 is almost the same price as the 474. I dont know the reason, but I think it's only like a $1600 upcharge for the additional 12 HP. Given that, and your use, I would go with the 474

Locally, TYM 3515, HST, loader $26k; TYM 474, HST, loader $28k; TYM 574, HST, loader, $32k.

TYM owned Branson before the contract with Bad Boy. Bad Boy (the mower company) owns its brand. TYM just builds the tractors for them. TYM has been building tractors for other brands for many years. I would expect it to continue. Bad Boy has an established brand and doesn't seem interested in building tractors for themselves. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement.

As for the 35 HP model...for TYM it is exactly the same as the other 15 series tractors. They are discontinuing one of the HP configurations because there is too much overlap. Not sure if it is the 35. Either way, it is pretty simple for them to continue the 35 for BB as it is literally the same engine as the 3015. Worst case, Bad Boy moves up or down slightly in HP. Very minor difference. TYM makes (made) the 15 series in 25, 30, 35, 42 and 48 HP variants. The only difference was the engine and those are very similar (30 and 35 are the same, just tuned differently). Since TYM mostly uses their own (Kukje) engines, it is really not a big deal.

I would expect the 2515 and 3515 to continue. I didn't realize there was a 3015 or 4015, as I've never seen one for sale, or in the wild.

They are still making "Branson" Tractors. (2400/2610, 15 series, 20 series, 5835R.....)
The 3015 is discontinued and looks like the 4215 is still available from the factory but probably going away too.
Torvy summed up all the other details very well.

I would predict the Yanmar powered models will go away eventually in favor of their own Kukje engines, but that's just my guess. (with the exception of the 3 smaller models t224, t254 and t25. Im sure they will continue. )
