I have an FB31 White with 2000 hours that runs ok but now it's getting diesel fuel in the oil big time. Rings bad?

I think you're right. I ordered a service manual for the tractor today and hopefully it covers that. Thanks!Smitty,
Sounds to me like the shaft seal on the injection pump has failed. Pump needs to be removed and PROBABLY rebuilt. maybe you can get lucky and only have to replace the shaft seal. IMHO.

Good idea....I took the fuel pump off yesterday. It's a Mikuni mechanical pump that runs off a cam (The same cam runs the injectors I think) located under the injector pump. It has a little lever that is used to prime the lines to the injector pump. I plugged the output side of the pump (pump removed) and operated the lever. Residual fuel in the pump was squirting out a small hole in the rod that runs on the cam. I thought that odd. So I kept the output plugged and blew in the input line to see if fuel came out the little hole but it didn't. I searched all last evening for another pump like it on the web and all I came up with was pulse pumps by Mikuni. No cam operated pumps. The darn tractor is still running good, it's just this fuel in the oil issue. Thanks for the reply! Before you start with the injection pump, try to make sure the fuel pump isn't the culprit. It would be a lot less $$ and trouble to fix than the injection pump.
