Diagram for a Lucas CAV DPA 3249F020 Fuel Injection Pump

Hi All,

We are two women on a sail boat, sailing around the world and have on board as our main engine a Perkins 4108 engine (Westerbeke 40) we have a leaky fuel injection pump CAV DPA 3249F020 Fuel Injection Pump and would like a diagram so are wondering if anyone has such a beast. also does anyone know what the numbers stand for? Could we for instance exchange ours for a 3249F030????

Does any one know what the numbers mean on the CAV pump, our pump numbers are
3249F020
R20021TU
PH30/500/6
3190 (max RPM?)

we have found a replacement pump for a ridiculously low cost but the numbers are slightly different -3249F030 - will that matter? it looks exactly the same and was off a perkins 4108 engine.

G'day if you have access to the yellow pages then look up a diesel injector repairer and ask them they will prob be able to tell you if it will work or not most of them are only too eager to help. On the other hand if it is only leaking out the throttle shaft then you could try putting some new O rings and a gasket in it it is not too hard a job if you have some mechanical skills you just need to be clean and patient. There a a few threads on here on how to do it.
