Hi,First post.Just purchased a Craftsman DGS 6500 hydro trans.Awaiting delivery the 16th.Any opinions ? I figure after a lot of research the 6500 was heavy duty enough for the money,I have a 3.5 acre yard that's beat my 8 year old yard machine to death.Wanted a Cub 2500 series but just couldn't swing it right now.Thanks.

Welcome to TBN. You might want to try and post in the lawn and garden forum... you will get more response that way. There have been quite a few threads recently about the Craftsman garden tractors. Enjoy the new machine!

8 years of 3.5 rough acres on a yard machine, not too bad.

If mine goes that long it will wind up costing just a bit over $100 per year not counting normal consumption items, gas , oil, etc...

Enjoy Your Craftsman.

I didn't mean to mislead, the 8 year old MTD I traded a .44 mag revolver for it last year.Since March The 3.5 acres has taken it's toll. The Briggs 18.5 hp is still going strong however .Thanks.
