Hello everyone. I work for DFM (maker of Turbo Saw) and we manufacturing tree & brush cutting attachments. Our product was designed to combat invasive species: Eastern Red Cedar, Mesquite, Chinaberry, and Osage Orange, etc. We have specific innovations for reclaiming pastures and controlling woodland: carbide teeth for below ground cutting, exceptional long reach, durable pushing capability, easy rotating function, spraying capability, and a lot of safety features (to my knowledge the most safety features in the industry).

Our product has been around for a decade and we continue to improve our products. Our TS3 tooth is the 3rd generation of carbide teeth and it's held on with a bolt-on / lockwasher system. We are one of the few products out there that can run in dirt or sand and still get between 200- 500 hours of life from a set of our teeth. These teeth are simple to rotate and replace.

We wanted a product that required minimum maintenance and the teeth were a good start, but our drivetrain has sealed bearings and our rotating mechanism does as well (that means zero grease zerts... no maintenance).

Please let me know if you have any questions on the Turbo Saw.

Does it require "high flow"?

Our excavator saw does not require highflow. The majority of what we run those excavators on is standard flow (15-23 gpm). A flow of around 20 gpm will delivery a performance of 4-6" per second. I don't have a video, but I have attached a link from our website with the specs on the saw: http://turbosaw.com/pdf/excavator.pdf

Do they have hydraulic rotation on the excavator head?

Most all the video's I see are of the saw cutting the invasive species that you mention it was designed for. It seems to work really well for this. However, I'm curious how well it works on more typical Eastern Hardwoods like Maple, Oak, Ash, Beach, and Birch?

I'm referring to the tractor mounted PTO Turbo Saw.

We have a manual rotation on the head. Simply pull a pin and lock it into place. We do offer a skid loader saw with a hydraulic rotating head. That model requires zero maintenance on the drivetrain and the rotating mechanism (sealed bearings in boom as well as the cutting head).

Our carbide teeth allow for dirt, sand, or even loose rock terrains. It doesn't matter what type of wood or it's density. We do try to show some videos of our saws cutting pecans, oaks, and other hardwoods. Any of our product videos (doesn't really matter the model... such as the LT3200 tractor saw video) will demonstrate the cutting capability on a wide range of trees.

Do you have any dealers in the northeast? I'd like to see one work.
