Deutz-Fahr Agrokid 45
Hello!

I have a Agrokid 45 of 2001 (with 714 hours) with various problems. I want to share these issues with you to find solutions if possible. I will try to explain them as best as possible.

1 - Gearbox: very hard; the inverter and the box. But if the speeds were hard and entering always gave me satisfied, but especially at high speeds they enter not always. Example: I will in third speed and if want to reduce to second speed, i have to brake the tractor if not the speed does not enter. Is there anything you can do to put the gear box more soft and the speeds always enter? Other thing: the lever groups/creeper (HML) sometimes gets stuck / blocks and can not engage the group; to example, sometimes is in M, can go to the L, but does not enter H (the sequence is HLM); sometimes not move, and sometimes enter perfectly. What do when you can not engage a group is as follows: I do double clutch / put the box and the inverter in N (sometimes works); I move the tractor slightly (almost always works); I know you may not believe, but if you do not press the clutch, I can move it easily and does not scratch anything (at least not hear any noise). Is normal?

2- Brakes: are discs in oil bath. Are very hard and brake bad. With the tractor with an implement in the hydraulic or the tractor alone, the brakes do their job; the problem is with the loaded trailer; I have literally put me on the pedals to the tractor slow down, do not even say brake. Someone advice?

3- Heating: problem solved with a fan with seven blades and changing the radiator nest.

And a few more problems for now I will not talk. If you can help me, I would be grateful. I would also like to hear opinions of the owners of these models.

My Hurlimann 435 only likes to shift gears when the tractor is stopped. There are times, when using the high range on the road that the gearbox can be coaxed into shifting without objection, but it takes engine speed and road speed matching along with a sensitive hand on the shifting lever. The shift throw is short and crisp however. If the shifting action of the levers is always difficult, suspect a mechanical problem with the linkage. It may need lubrication, adjustment, or repair of something bent or damaged. Since you tell that you can move it easily when the clutch is not depressed, perhaps that is not a problem.

Brakes? There is an electrical plug fitted for trailer brakes. Or else, don't go fast, it's the safer thing to do. If you plan your route, and know that slowing or stopping is required, place the tractor in four wheel drive, and use the engine. The wet brakes can glaze, Such as if the tractor were operated for some time with the parking brake set. They would loose stopping power if so. The only solution there is to replace the discs. How does the parking brake work for you? The Hurlimann is very effective (strong), but I have driven off with the brake set normally on several occasions. The tractor sure is sluggish then ! ;=_

Do you write and read Italian?
