This is my first post here, so hopefully it will help. I recently bent the hydraulic fluid dipstick tube on our 1994 - 3930 - 2wd.
In my discussions with the repair person we use for our equipment, he mentioned either.........
a) Fabricating a new tube.
b) running a small diameter die through the tube.
or
c) installing a sight glass to check the level.
One of my concerns is getting the level correct with a fabricated tube.
One is "splitting" or damaging the tube by pulling a die through it.
One is locating the sight glass in the proper location.
Does anyone know a reference point on the external surface where the fluid level should be?
"C" seems to be the best option to me.
Has anyone done this on the same model tractor we have? Or the same issue?
Thanks in advance
BK
