Design an Off Centered Plow

Hello all...I'm looking for a plow to make that would allow me to trench a small drainage ditch to the left of my tractor. The reason is that there is a row of trees on the left and I can't use a single centered 3pt hitch plow. I figured if I could make one that would hook up 3pt and then off to the right about 36", it would do the job. My concern is that the stress level would be too much. Any ideas?

You probably can find a solid two or three shank subsoiler that has been set aside for larger unit that will hold up for you. Just pull off the shanks you don't want. At same time if you have a lot to do they make a PTO driven unit with a cutter head that may work better. They use them to make drainage ditches in fields here and the DOT people use them to clean road ditches. They throw the dirt a few feet. Not sure how well they will hold up to roots.

If you are pulling a plow as you want to just know it will want to pull your tractor that way also. Slow speed helps.

I mde one from an old merry/ craftsman roto till shaft and a set of pillow block bearings. I made an arm with a 3 point hitch and put the bearings on one end with the tiller head. I had another set of pillow blocks and a larger drive sproket to run the tiller head. It worked like the counties machine. They work pretty good in roots they cut a 2 inch gas line in half and also cut a water line to.

good info Rizak...don't think I'm that talented. Good info...I'm still undecided on what to use for material? thickness and size? I don't want to get something very light that will bend and soon as it hits the ground, yet I don't want overkill either.
