delo or 76 guardol QLT oil.... who uses one of these brands

Local "bulk" dealer sells both in bulk. Really pushes the 76 brand Why, dealer don't really give an answer.

I have always leaned toward delo or chevron products if given the choice.

We have ben selling Conoco 76 Fleet Supreme 15W-40 as a compliment to New Holland Ambra15W-40 for a couple years now. No complaints, and we have repeat buyers that like it.

Both are fine oils. Go with your gut on this one.

Both are fine / good oils.

Chevron is rough to get along with from a distributors point of view. Conoco / P66 now is very easy to get along with.

Chevron being 'hard' to get along with from a distributors angle might explain why the local bulk supplier leans everyone to conoco/76 brand on EVERYTHING. Was not that long ago due to prodding from me and others that the dealer caved and started to offer delo 400 in bulk instead of just five gallons and quarts.

From the dealer 5 gallon bulk delo 15-40 LE is just a few bucks more than a new unopened bucket of conoco/76 QLT 15-40.

Pulled a 350 chevy engine apart out of a tow truck with one hundred thousand on it that had nothing but delo 400 15-40 since new and it was completely clean, like new clean. The pistons had a slight varnish forming but that was it for anything.

The engine got pulled because of tax purposes for a "write-off" and it had started to smoke on start-up. After looking and measuring the journals, bore/piston, ring tolerances, it was found only the valve guides were wore beyond spec and the stem seals hardend. the rest of the engine was in real good shape.
