Delivering my 1540 on Monday

Just a thank you for some of the good posts on the 1500 series tractors. I decided on the 1540 with turbo for my 9200 foot elevation here in Colorado. Just getting the FEL and Front Blade for the winter. Dealer will come and get it this spring when I can afford the backhoe and install it for me and bring it back. Will poost pics soon if anyone is interested..

Congratulations on your new tractor. So, did any of the posts on the "diesels at high/low altitude" convince you to get the turbo, or was it just a MORE POWER thing. What will be some of it's duties when it arrives?

Both the posts and talking to other tractor owners...not MF convinced me to spend the extra money for the turbo. It's main duty right now I think by looking outside is snow removal...there's 12" on the ground and it coming down hard. I received the tractor yesterday. The dealer got his truck stuck on the wooded hill so he just got the tractor off the trailer a drove it a half mile to my house. I got to drive it for 5 minutes and had to go help him get unstuck. Now it's work week again. Can't wait for the weekend!
