Our new L3240 HST arrived 2 days ago and we couldn't be happier.
The move to our 6.5 acres in rural Seward, NE happened almost 10 months ago. The search for a tractor started the next day. After countless hours surfing the web, a handful of quotes from my local JD dealer and a lot of miles driving to see what was on the lot we signed off on the Kubota. We nearly bought the new CT235 from Bobcat, the first in NE but it didn't fit my wife well. We are nearly a foot apart in height. And the wider platform on the Kubota fit her better.
We also got an LA514 loader, 6' Woods disc, a 6' Woods blade and 6' adjustable spike drag harrow. Part of the final deal was a 14' chain, a hook welded to the bucket and delivery/set up at no charge.
The whole package was $22,300. My local Kubota dealer started at $23,000 for just the tractor and loader. I feel like I got a fair price. The buying experience was GREAT, too!!! He spent more time taking to my wife about features and benefits than me. She is no tractor novice, but he knew she pulls the money trigger.
Our 6.5 acres consists of about 1.5 of trees below a small pond that needs to be cleaned up. 3.5 acres is formerly corn ground and the remainder is brome grass. The slope is very gentle but changes maybe 20 feet from highest to lowest. I have about 100 yds of driveway to clear of snow and level when the "magic rock" disappears.
Can you believe since Friday we have only put on about .5 hours? It is cold and family stuff always comes first.
I'll post pictures of our new baby and of the property soon.
