Hey Guys,

We'll Christmas came early this year for me.

I am making a new post for this so others can find it easier. You guys will have to thank my wife for some of these photos, she braved the cold to take them while I did the unloading.

I took these photos so you guys could better see it, their website is nice but their photos do not do it justice. This is their 60" grapple, the shipping manifest shows a weight of 440 lbs. Between my forks and it I could feel the rear of the tractor go a little light when I lowered it so there is some weight there.

I will not get to use this until spring but I think this style Grapple will do everything we want and more. Hope you guys enjoy.

Unloading from the truck. While I am backing up I see the driver laughing, he told the wife nice tractor and she said this one is mine, then she pointed out the DX60 with the cab in the shop and said that is his, and that I make her work out in the hot and cold:D.

Hey Thomas,

I've got to get the Hyd kit for the Grapple installed before I can put her to work. I'm going to get the WRLong kit, but first the T2220 has to go into the shop, it has a leak down on the loader. If I lock it out it's good so they said it's in the tractor. I'll add a rear Hyd hookup and the grapple setup this spring.

Nice grapple and nice forks too! Get that WR Long kit installed soon. I think you're gonna love that grapple.

BTW: Do the forks fit on your DX60 as well?

Hey jinman,

Both tractors have the same quick attach so everything fits both tractors. With the temps we've been having below 0 not much shop time, we've got an area I call my oxygen tent that has a propane heater. I can heat that area up enough that it's warm enough to work without a coat but I only use it for emergency's.

My dealer quoted about $250 each to mount a rear hyd connector and another $250+ to mount the WR Long kit, so we will be doing them ourselves come March or April depending on the spring. I am going to call them and make sure they make a kit for our tractor.

I'm not sure but I think I'll have to put a longer Hyd hose on the front connection but I won't know until I hook it up and test it. I'm going to get one of those front mount plates for the hoses also.

A bit warmer today so I told the wife we should do a fit check and check the grapple over just to make sure it's ok:D.

So we went out and moved things around and got these shots, I don't know who did the welding but it's really nice. Here are a few shots from underneath and the Grapple mount.

This is maybe a little rude but I would like to make some comparisons to the Markham LD-48 grapple that I have:

-Has grease-able pins/bushings welded in vs. the hitch pins in drilled steel
-Has a welded cylinder (USA made-not sure about the one on yours)
-Has a shield covering the piston rod
-Has "teeth" cut into edges for better gripping power
-The bottom tines are curved to allow you to get under stuff better

Hey Kennyd,

Not being rude at all, the cylinder has the Chief Name made by the Bailey International (they are made in Knoxville TN). There is a bar underneath it, but for the brush and small trees and trimmings we are after I don't see a problem.

Yep I saw that it did not have the grease-able inserts but I liked the straight tines for slipping under brush and trees and picking up small rocks. We'll see how good it does in the spring time but it looks like it will do just I wanted.

I forgot the biggest reason we went with this one its over 300 lbs lighter.
