1) I understand the 'need' to put this safety switch on the units, I am however offended that I get classed with the lowest common denominator for stupidity out there.
2) A) I don't have steep slopes B) I would not run the lawnmower on it if I did C) I certainly wouldn't step off it without setting the brake.
3) IF you are STUPID and or do STUPID THINGS - then DON'T BE STUPID AND DO THIS - you take responsibility for your own actions (just like it should be.

1) This post tells you how to defeat the "Seat Occupancy Safety Switch" - without major modifications, and;
2) It does leave the safety equipment operational so you can sell it or let your dumb cousin use it (by turning it back on in less than 4 seconds).
NOTE: this is for the 4 pin seat switch (but it should work for all of these types of switches)
Step by Step instructions - with picture attachments
1) Move the seat ALL the way forward
2) Lift the seat
3) Unplug the connector from the bottom of the seat
4) Look closely at the plug (on the side it plugs into / opposite from the wires) at each plug opening is a small metal tab sticking out (see picture)

5) Grab this small metal tab (it SHOULD move if it does not move you've grabbed the wire connector) - now gently pull the tab out (see 2nd picture)

6) Leave it UNPLUGGED to bypass the safety - PLUG IT IN to turn the safety back on.
NOTE:
I joined this forum for the specific purpose of posting this information as I could Never get A Straight Answer (NASA) on how to do this.
I will NOT monitor this post, help you defeat other safety devices, or be held responsible for you doing something stupid (like trying to grab that wire stuck on the blade, while running, because you are Ninja quick)
**This post maybe deleted by the forum (I have no control on that)
I will not respond to messages or e-mails (they are shut off)
If you "Like" the post or "Bump" the post (or sticky the post) I will never know.
I do hope this post stays in place and it helps other (frustrated) people like me.
Take Care
