Anyone out there got one they can shoot a picture of and / or maybe take a measurement of for me? My father now has my old 770 and the original seat is getting - unserviceable - may be the best term for it... I was going to see if I could pick him up one for Christmas, but I wanted to see what the mount was. Google found me a lot of replacements based on a part number of M805158 and show the front pivots, but I couldn't remember whether those are welded on to the seat base or whether the seat bolts on to that part of the base. Can anyone describe or show me what it looks like? I figured i'd ask before having to drop $200 in case there was another option. i would think any x70 series or x90 series compact probably has the same seat?

Knowing the JD770 compact is actually a Yanmar, it's not welded. It's a flip forward seat. There are 2 brackets, a left and right that bolts to under the seat.
And because dad's are older, get him the high back seat. He would really love you for it.

The seats today are more universal to fit several flip forward models. Looking at the under side, you see this
And Hoye Tractor has the OE Yanmar/JD mounting brackets, too.
BUT, those are generally weak and are not beefy. So, they also carry the HD set that I personally would only recommend to everyone.
