I own a John Deere 2210 with a Woods BH6000 backhoe and 2 of the 4 port relief valves are leaking. The 2 that leak are mounted on the upper part of the spool valve. One of the relief valves is set for 2500psi and the other is set at 2000psi with anti-cavitation check. I am not clear on the purpose of the port relief valves, can someone explain their usage? I believe the hydraulics on the 2210 cant produce 2000 psi but not sure. I tried to contact Woods Equipment support without any reply as of today. The cost for the replacement relief valves from Woods is: $221 and $271 which is outrageous for what they are. My question is would I be able to find a more affordable equivalent relief valve? I am sure I may need the specs of the OEM relief valves to find a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.
