deciding beteen JD xuv or treker 20

Trying to decide between JD 620i xuv and Land Pride treker 20. Both units close
to equal. Looking for something to sway one way or the other. Both dealers good.

Don't own either, but I know the Honda engines, are rough and tuff. We own several pieces of equipment that has the Honda engine, and they have been trouble free so far >>>>

Price between units very close. I don't think Land Pride products are sold by TSC. Brister utv's are being sold at TSC in this area. Land Pride sold by tractor
dealers.

If both units are relatively equal and you don't have a preference for one, then I would pick the JD. Brand name recognition and resale would be the reason. Also, there is a lot of JD dealers.

well i have had 4 years of pretty much problem free operations from my hpx "kawasaki engine". now as for as the trecker i can only vouch for the honda engine. but if it was me i thinki i would go with the john deere. did you test drive both of them?

I looked at buying a trecker last year before I bought my XUV. They are both nice units. I went with the XUV for several reasons. I liked the ride and suspension better on the XUV, Fuel injection was a plus for me. The XUV has a higher top speed, not that I needed it, just wanted to have it if I did. John Deere has been around a long time with quality products, so I felt more comfortable that the dealer would still be around if I needed them.

Is there really a question??? If there were some "substantial" price difference in favor of the Trekker, or a family member who sold them to whom you had allegiance, then I suppose the Trekker may seem a more appealing option. But, given your findings, I would suggest strongly that the John Deere machine would be your better choice. The reasons are plentiful, but the main one has already been cited: the reputation and support these vehicles have through John Deere is immense. They also really are pretty nice machines. I am sure the Trekker is fine also--and Land Pride has a solid reputation in the attachment venue--but for the same $$$$?? Although the XUV's are not perfect, and I personally am not particularly enamoured with the gasoline XUV's, I still think it would be your (much) better option in this case. It is a tough, pretty well-designed UTV with strong company backing.
