Kioti/2610 HST
Newbie here! Just bought a Kioti 2610 HST with an FEL, box blade, and brush cutter. I have some acreage to fire mitigate that consists mostly of lodgepole pines and a lot of downed wood that has been cut and left to rot. I am considering using the clamp on debris forks to create and pick up piles of limbs and doghair trees that I cut and the downed tree/brush piles that are already here. My question is how many of you use the forks and how do they work for you? I tried doing a search but didn't have much of a result (could be in indicator there). A grapple would be great but not in the budget plus I don't have the third function.

I bought a clamp on 60" Agri-Ease debris fork a few years ago to move limbs and brush with. It works reasonably well, but on uneven ground, it is difficult to scoop up anything without getting a lot of dirt or snagging a root because you can't see the tip of the forks over the loader bucket. It does make a good work platform or wood hauler with a piece of plywood on top. I think I paid around $375 for it at the Kioti dealer in Longview, Wa. Yes, it was money well spent, but I found it was lots easier to pile brush with the mini excavator....Dan

I used aluminum clamp-on Debris Forks for six years.

Two complaints: My five tine forks picked up too much dirt along with tree debris.

Once, picking up a tree section, I rolled the bucket too far back and the tree section came over the bucket, crashed onto the tractor hood denting it, then rolled off before hitting me in the operator's station. This "in the blink of an eye."

Now I use SSQA Pallet Forks with a large guard. (PHOTO #4) My pallet forks have easily moved individual tines. Properly spaced Pallet Forks are about as effective at picking up brush as the Debris Forks and better for heavier work. Short forks (36" or 38") are better for debris transport than long forks (40"+). Pallet Forks pick up less dirt per load.

A Ratchet Rake bucket attachment is by far the best tool for collecting brush and limbs into piles. Good for grading small areas.

I have pondered how these Ultraforks would work for moving debris. I speculate the round tines would pick up less dirt than forks. Ultrforks category of attachment is usually described as Manure Forks.

I have used a Bucket Spade from Bucket Solutions for six years. The build is excellent.
Bucket Solutions is in Colorado.

Thanks Gents for the responses! I think I'll try a set and see how they work.
