Dealer told me Mahindra is going to announce 30 new models at the meeting. This will not be all tractors and could just be new paint of utv's for all he knows. Have you guys heard of any new tractors? I did hear of one over 100 hp coming out.

No, but I heard they are building a plant near Detroit and are going to start selling Mahindra automobiles in the U.S..

I am demoing a 6065 Cab Power Shuttle right now. The manual also says there is a 6075 as well (65 and 75 HP respectively) Seems to be very close to the mPower from what I can tell with a difference in PTO engagement; it has 540 and 540e - and you can engage the PTO in a manual or automatic mode. I have only been using manual because when you turn it on it stays on, I think auto mode cuts PTO when you push in on the clutch if I remember right.

No, but I heard they are building a plant near Detroit and are going to start selling Mahindra automobiles in the U.S..

I wouldn't bet money on this. The Mahindra truck didn't even make it here and it most likely would not have sold due to poor finish quality and rated at 22 mpg and it was a midsize diesel!!!! Even the 1-2 ton ram ecodiesel is rated 28 mpg highway. Let's see what the Ford diesel F-150 is rated at. Rumor has it the F-150 tow rating for the diesel will be higher than the ecoboost, on the 2018's they are around 13,200 lbs I think.

India automaker Mahindra finds a home in Detroit

According to this article, it sounds like they are opening an engineering center in Detroit and a scooter plant in Ann Arbor with the intent on selling vehicles in the U.S. eventually. Probably a lot is depending on whether they get the Post Office contract for mail trucks or not.

Pretty interesting. I was wondering if something would be coming out in a hst larger than the 2555. Seems like Mahindra is growing quickly here.

Funny you say that, since I have the ear of Mahindra right now I asked that question because other manufacturers definitely have them. I really did not get an answer but more of 'that is something we should look into'

The 5035 [ now TierIV and changed to 3550 ] is bigger than the 2555. The turbo 55hp 2555 HST is a fine tractor, but a 3550 HST [ non-turbo about 50hp ] will yank it around like a toy.... :) [ you must have meant higher horsepower than the 2555 :) ]

Exactly. I do not really need more weight although I do equate weight to quality and strength but I am also old. I have the 2538 right now. 38 hp 31 or so pto. The 2555 is 55 hp and only 42 pto. 17 on the motor more to gain 10 on the pto. Now keep in mind that at this time that is enough. I am looking for loader strength mostly and a nice cab. The heavier tractor actually works against me as I tow it for work. 2555 can go on trailer with roller larger cannot. So I find myself limited to the 2555. If they bumped it 10hp it would be great and keep it in the same chassis with hst.

I think one of the limiting factors is probably the hp/torque the HST unit can handle [ and how much weight you are trying to shove around ]. That is probably why the 65hp 2565 does not offer HST. Old...??? I was borned in '47 And, I am just a kid... :)
