Mahindra 5525
I posted this in the Hydraulics forums but thought I'd post it here as well:

Got a question, I'm having a loader and rear remotes installed on my Mahindra 5525.

The dealer picked of my tractor about noon Thursday and was hoping to get it back out to me today.

I just talked with them and they had some issues getting the rear remotes installed. They said that they had to find a fitting that would work and it took longer than expected.

That's totally fine with me, but I was wondering if they were installing the single spool kit from Mahindra why wouldn't it fit perfectly? If the instructions are followed that is. I have no idea what is involved in installing and plumbing all the stuff for a loader and remote so I though I'd ask.

Thanks,
Scott

Just curious if it was fairly normal to have to modify fitting or hoses when installing these kits?

It all depends on how complete the kit is. Some manufacturers make kits that fit several models and let the dealers/installers add the parts that fit for a specific model. Other manufacturers may include all the parts for all models and you have parts left over with every kit. For example, on my New Holland, I installed rear remotes on my "Deluxe" model tractor. The kit also included different levers for the non-deluxe model. Those levers are now in my left-over parts bin. It all depends on the structure of the kit.

The Mahindra kit should come with every thing needed, but the key work is should. The fact that a fitting might be missing from the kit, isn't beyond the realm of reality.
