Kubota BX23S
I am looking to buy some Kubota / Land Pride Implements (front mount snow blower, pallet forks ssqa/new bucket) I have a Kubota BX23s with a pin on bucket and would like to go with their quick attach / skid steer type that will require a new bucket. I am basically getting quoted MSRP and then the Kubota dealer tells me I have to pay for shipping.
Is paying shipping a normal policy at tractor dealers? (and yes I understand that freight is not "free" But I would of thought it would be built into the price... Especially the MSRP price)

Thank You

It depends. Last implement I bought had to be shipped in. I was given a choice of having it shipped soon and I pay the freight, or wait 6-8 weeks and it'll come in on their normal delivery and no freight charges. I waited.

It also depends on the dealer. There are 3 different brands in town. I've bought from 2 of them. One delivered the implement without an extra charge, the other charged a fee (I think $150).

I recently got a box blade and a grapple from my dealer. Had the box blade in stock, had to wait on the grapple, about 4 weeks they delivered both to me no shipping or delivery charge. Probably if I needed it fast they might of charged something, but wasn't in a hurry.

With the 120 pound SSQA coupler protruding forward I not believe you will have enough FEL lift capacity for a snow blower or useful load on SSQA pallet forks. SSQA snow blower may require a custom longer length forward PTO shaft.

Above my experience too.

Land Pride implements are fabricated in Kansas.

My experiences have been the same as 3Ts. Ship it now - pay the freight. Wait until the dealer ships it with a full load - it ships free.

You are ALWAYS paying for it one way or the other. No one can give away money and stay in business. That said I have seen both.

I assume if the dealer orders a large enough quantity to qualify for prepaid freight, there would be no freight charges to pass onto the buyer.

Small quantity orders get freight charges added, which is passed onto buyer.

I realize I may be playing the role of Captain Obvious here

This is how it works. “Stock” orders with no time restraints qualify for free freight (paid by the manufacturer). Truckload or specific order amount ($) guidelines

You want it in a timely manner, you pay inbound freight charges.
