I just bought a 1993 cub cadet 1641 with 700 hours on it. It come with a 46 inch mower deck (all complete) and a plow. The paint is starting to chip around the gas fill (about the size of a half dollar) that is all i seen on the tractor. The deck paint is rough but no rust holes and the plow is in good condition. I paid $950 for everything,i am wornding if i got a good deal,if not what should i have paid, if i did get a good deal what is it worth.
Thank you for your input

In my opinion, YOU are the best one to determine whether or not you got a good deal. If you are happy with it, that is all that matters. I don't know enough about Cubs to say whether or not the price you paid is fair, but it doesn't strike me as out of line.

I recently sold an early 80's (I think) John Deere 400 with 60 inch MMM and a snow blower. It looked good and everything worked. I sold it for $1500.

Compare it to what you could get for that money new -- basically a throw away tractor from a discount house. I'd be guessing you did okay. I put about twice that into my old (70's) cadet two years ago in the form of a new engine and driveshaft.

BTW, welcome to the board. Got any other tractors? Wanna buy some? :)
