Craigslist had a local person with a 53" Kubota two stage snowblower that was converted to 400 JD series specs. for $225.00 It looked like it was only used a couple years as 95% of the paintwas still on it. I called within the first two hours of posting and wouldn't you know someone 150 miles away was the first caller and bought it. Sometimes second place is a sure loser.
I have a blade and loader for the 4110 but would have liked the snowblower addition.

Sounds just like my luck, always a dollar short and a day late.

I would have offered $250... and see what he says. Did the ad say $225 OBO?

That's a crappy thing to do. And it wouldn't say much about the seller if he agreed.

That is always the issue with CL sales...

FWIW...
I lucked out and got a (brand new condition) heavy duty boom pole for $25... when I got there (after calling the seller and telling them I was on the way...about 50 miles) there was another party there...I got the boom pole thanks to the integrity of the seller...The other party would have easily given me $50+ but I took it home and have put it to good use many times since...

They said they went by time of call. I was second in line so it didn't do me much good. Sounded like an older couple that may have bought it that way. I am sure the price would have been much higher if he realized the price of the individual parts ( blower and tractor mount assembly with ram / hoses. )
When I saw the picture I thought the price had to be a mistake.

--- I know how you feel. I happened upon a 1969 Hemi Roadrunner only 3 miles from our farm [who knew?] in 1985. It did not have an engine [at least that I could see. It might have been stored somewhere I don't know] because a tree was growing up through the engine bay. This was out back of a house on a dirt road.
--- I knocked on the door and grandpa answered. To make a long story short I almost bought the shell for $300 bucks. But granny just happened to hear our conversation and would not let grandpa sell me the car.
--- It was their son's car who had died in Vietnam. I went back again a year or so later and was promptly told not to ask about the car again.
--- The car was orange and in surprisingly good shape for being outdoors with a ten-foot tree growing through the engine bay.
--- I often drive by the spot just so I can tell the story to whoever is riding with me. The car is not there anymore.
--- Another time a guy I knew was bragging that he knew where a 426 hemi engine was, and he could get it for $400 bucks, but the guy would only sell it to him. I went home and had granny write him a check for $800. All of a sudden "the guy wasn't home": Then he was "out of town", etc.
