I watched the 60 Minutes report...as a Michigan resident and public service retiree, I had been somewhat concerned about Michigan's 1.7 billion budget shortfall for 2011...and then I saw what the program said about Illinois, for some reason that didn't make me feel any better...

Don't know much about any of this, but I would have never thought if not drawn to my attention. Lots of government people getting paid for not doing their jobs, alot of people getting free money in society, and I guess we are alot of the blame for not seeing these problems. I personally don't understand alot of them, but there is something we should be able to change to reverse the problem. Any suggestions?

I have PLENTY to suggest, but even after being away from TBN for 4 1/2 years, I suspect politics is still a taboo subject...but to expound on the 60 Minutes report, many, many states have budget shortfalls, Illinios is reportedly facing a 14 billion dollar one. States have been able to balance their books in part because of the federal stimulus money but that will end soon. It's going to get ugly next year.
