After three years in Seventh Grade, my daughter is finally making it to Eighth Grade next school year.
Actually, she has taught 7th Grade for three years and is moving up to teach 8th Grade next year. She quickly established herself as a no-nonsense teacher and a firm disciplinarian her first year. One of her administrators described her as a "natural born teacher".
She comes from a long line of educators. Her grandmother on her Mama's side taught for 40 years. Her granddaddy (my Daddy) served as Chairman of the county Bd of Ed for nearly 20 years. One of her gr-gr-gr-aunts taught school in this county beginning in 1899. Her Mama has taught for 31 years and I have taught 21 years.
She is about finished with her Masters Degree. Her Mama and I are real proud of her if you couldn't tell.
