Dating Google Earth Images

Does anyone know if there is a way to find the date when a google earth satellite image was taken? They recently updated the image that includes my area of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. Besides its higher resolution than before, I can tell it is new because my house has a new roof that shows up. However, when I check New Orleans, I see that the photos are pre-Katrina.

Good question. When I look at my place. It shows 2 trees that I cut down 5 years ago.

I have not found a way to get an accurate date. The changes I see on my place indicate that the image is approx. a year old. It is a new image since time I looked at Google Earth. the one previous to it was much lower resolution. This one is pretty crisp for a rural area. You can make out vehivles, but just barely.

the old MS terraserver had the dates. newer in the citys, old old in the countys. i haven't seen anyway to tell either.

The photos of my place are dated 2001. 300 yards east of my fenceline, the photos are dated 2003. Google Maps
I saw the dates printed on the images once, but can't find it now.

Attached is a photo of our property from this site. You may have to touch up the photos with your photo editor for best results. Be sure to enlarge the photo by clicking in the bottom right corner of photo for all the details such as the number of trees down.

If you check the Digital Globe Coverage box (bottom of layers), the date and other information about the time taken may show up on the map depending on the area.
